Terms — v0 draft
What you agree to when you use UFTA.
UFTA is a neutral trade-association backbone. The terms below are the v0 draft and are not yet binding; the formal terms ship with the first ratified release.
Scope
These terms cover use of UFTA's standards, canonical-object data, Partner API, and discovery surfaces by foodies, providers, partner platforms, and personal agents.
Acceptable use
- Use UFTA's data and API consistent with the published Charter, the Trust Tiers, and the Partner Program.
- Preserve UFTA canonical IDs when syncing or republishing.
- Submit truthful, current information. Stale or fabricated compliance evidence is grounds for tier downgrade or suspension.
- Respect privacy. Do not aggregate UFTA data to deanonymize foodies or providers, and do not enable cross-partner tracking.
Prohibited
- Misrepresenting standing on or off UFTA surfaces.
- Bypassing rate limits, scraping at scale, or evading attribution.
- Using UFTA to coordinate harassment or abuse of any participant.
- Republishing private compliance details that UFTA has marked internal-only.
Enforcement
Violations are handled through UFTA's documented dispute and appeals workflows. Tier downgrades, suspensions, and terminations leave receipts and have appeal paths.
Changes
Material changes to these terms are versioned, ship with effective dates, and include a deprecation plan for anything they supersede.
